Islam

ISLAM

INTRODUCTION:

Islam is based on the teachings and life of Muhammad (570-632 AD) in Mecca and Medina, Saudi Arabia (and later Persia).

Islam is the second largest world religion, and has recently become the third largest religious body in America with over 6 million adherents. Islam is composed of two major divisions -- the mainstream Sunni which comprise 80-90% of all Muslims, and the more radical Shi'ites. The mystical tradition of Sufism includes many Sunnis and some Shi'ites. Muslim-based sects such as the Nation of Islam (which appeals especially to African-Americans), and the ecumenical Bahá'í (which proclaims the unity of the human race) have special appeal to many Americans.

The Arabic word Islam does not mean peace, but rather "submission to the will of Allah" and a person who submits is called a Muslim.

Historically, Islam experienced tremendous growth often by forced proselytism -- unbelievers (infidels) were offered conversion or death. While many Muslims exhibit tolerance towards other faiths, even today Islamic fundamentalism promotes jihad (holy war), against those of other religious and political views. In modern times these Jihadists are second only to Socialists and Communists in the senseless cold blooded murder of innocents.

AMERICA'S FIRST CONFLICT WITH ISLAM:

America has had trouble with Islam almost from our inception. As early as 1784 Congress followed the tradition of the European shipping powers and appropriated $80,000 as tribute to the Islamic Barbary states, directing its ministers in Europe, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, to begin negotiations with them. Trouble began the next year, in July 1785, when Algerians captured two American ships and the Dey of Algiers held their crews of twenty-one people for a ransom of nearly $60,000.

In 1786 Thomas Jefferson, then US ambassador to France, and John Adams, then US Ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the Dey’s ambassador to Britain, in an attempt to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress’ vote of funding. To the US Congress these two future Presidents later reported the reasons for the Muslims’ hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.

“… that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

Jefferson studied the Qur'an in order to know his enemy and decided early on that he would make war upon the Barbary kingdoms as soon as he commanded American forces. His two least favorite institutions—enthroned monarchy and state-sponsored religion—were embodied in one target.

He wrote to Adams in a July 11, 1786, letter, "I acknolege [sic] I very early thought it would be best to effect a peace thro' the medium of war." Jefferson argued in an August 18, 1786, letter to James Monroe: "The states must see the rod; perhaps it must be felt by some one of them. ... Every national citizen must wish to see an effective instrument of coercion, and should fear to see it on any other element than the water. A naval force can never endanger our liberties, nor occasion bloodshed; a land force would do both." "From what I learn from the temper of my countrymen and their tenaciousness of their money," Jefferson added in a December 26, 1786, letter to the president of Yale College, Ezra Stiles, "it will be more easy to raise ships and men to fight these pirates into reason, than money to bribe them."

By 1794, the Dey of Algiers had plundered eleven American ships and held one hundred and nineteen of their survivors for ransom.

Jefferson took the presidential oath in March 1801 and embarked on America's first "war on terror" from 1801 to 1805. Jefferson declared that America was going to spend "millions for defense but not one cent for tribute" and pressed the issue by deploying American Marines and many of America's best warships to the Muslim Barbary Coast. In 1805, American Marines marched across the desert from Egypt into Tripolitania, forcing the surrender of Tripoli and the freeing of all American slaves.

During the Jefferson administration, the Muslim Barbary States, crumbling as a result of intense American naval bombardment and on shore raids by Marines, finally officially agreed to abandon slavery and piracy. Jefferson's victory over the Muslims lives on today in the Marine Hymn, with the line, "From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli, We fight our country's battles in the air, on land and sea."

It wasn't until 1815 that the problem was fully settled by the total defeat of all the Muslim slave trading pirates.

Islamic pirate slavers who over many centuries enslaved millions of Africans and hundreds of thousands of Christian Europeans and Americans in the Islamic "Barbary" states.

AN ANTI-CHRIST & ANTI-BIBLICAL RELIGION:

ISLAM'S TEACHING ON GOD'S WORD:

The Qur'an (or, Koran), the Torah, the Psalms of the Old Testament, and the Gospel of the New Testament are regarded as holy books. However, only the Qur'an is considered uncorrupted. It is said that an angel gave the Qur'an to Muhammad.

The Bible, however, says this on the subject:

Galatians 1:6-9: "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."

Psalm 12:6-7: "THE WORDS OF THE LORD ARE PURE WORDS: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. THOU SHALT KEEP THEM, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

Proverbs 30:5-6: "EVERY WORD OF GOD IS PURE: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. ADD THOU NOT UNTO HIS WORDS, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar."

2 Timothy 3:15-16: "And ... the holy Scriptures ... are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

Revelation 22:18-19: "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

ISLAM'S TEACHING ON GOD:

Islam rejects the holy Trinity, the deity of Christ and His Sonship, claiming that Jesus was merely a prophet. The Lord Jesus' death and resurrection are also rejected.

However, the holy Word of God says this on these subjects:

The Trinity:

1 John 5:7: "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

Genesis 1:26-27: "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness .... So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

1 Thessalonians 5:23: "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

The Deity of Christ:

John 8:58: "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."

Revelation 1:8: "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."

1 Timothy 3:16: "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

Philippians 2:5-9: "Christ Jesus ... being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name."

Hebrews 1:3: "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high."

John 1:1-3: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

The Sonship of Jesus:

John 1:14: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Psalm 2:7: "I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee."

Hebrews 10:4-5: "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me."

1 John 4:9: "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him."

The Death Jesus:

Romans 5:6, 8: "For when we were yet without strength, in due time CHRIST DIED FOR THE UNGODLY. ... But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, CHRIST DIED FOR US."

Hebrews 2:9: "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of DEATH, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste DEATH for every man."

Colossians 1:21-22: "And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he RECONCILED IN THE BODY OF HIS FLESH THROUGH DEATH, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight."

Revelation 5:9: "And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for THOU WAST SLAIN, AND HAST REDEEMED US TO GOD BY THY BLOOD out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation."

John 10:10-11: "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: THE GOOD SHEPHERD GIVETH HIS LIFE FOR THE SHEEP."

The Resurrection Jesus:

John 10:17-18: "Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."

John 2:20-21: "Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body."

Isaiah 53:10-12: "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, HE SHALL PROLONG HIS DAYS, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

Psalm 16:9-11: "Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; NEITHER WILT THOU SUFFER THINE HOLY ONE TO SEE CORRUPTION. THOU WILT SHEW ME THE PATH OF LIFE: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." (cf. Acts 2:26-32)

ISLAM'S TEACHING ON SALVATION:

Islam adheres to a system of "good" works for salvation. Salvation is sought though observance of the Five Pillars: reciting "there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger," praying five times per day, fasting, giving alms (donations to the poor), and a pilgrimage to Mecca. Salvation and a harem of virgins may also be obtained through death in Islamic holy war (jihad).

God's Truth answers this works salvation fable taught in all false religion:

Titus 3:5: "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost."

John 3:3, 6-7: "... Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. ... That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN."

Romans 3:20-26: "Therefore BY THE DEEDS OF THE LAW THERE SHALL NO FLESH BE JUSTIFIED IN HIS SIGHT: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus."

Ephesians 2:8-10: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: NOT OF WORKS, LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death; but THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST our Lord."

Revelation 21:7-8: "He that OVERCOMETH shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is THE SECOND DEATH."

1 John 5:4-5: "For whatsoever is born of God OVERCOMETH the world: and this is the victory that OVERCOMETH the world, even our faith. Who is he that OVERCOMETH the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?"

1 Corinthians 15-56-57: "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the VICTORY THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST."

THE ONLY HOPE OF SALVATION FOR MUSLIMS & FOR ALL:

The Lord Jesus Christ tells us: "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." (Revelation 1:18) "And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him." (Luke 12:4-5) " I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." (John 10:9-11) "... I AM THE RESURRECTION, AND THE LIFE: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" (John 11:25-26)

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." (Romans 10:9-11) "... And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. ... He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." (1 John 5:6, 10-12)

THE EVIL NATURE OF THE RELIGION ISLAM:

We have seen from Scripture the spiritual depravity "the religion of peace" spreads. Here we will look at the social injustices, such as "honor killings" of girls and women and other abuses of women, murder, forced conversion and other injustices to those of other faiths, etc.

Jihad (Literally, "struggle," more popularly, "holy war") is a term used to refer to the Muslim commitment to impose the teachings and law of Islam throughout the world, by force.

Immediately after September 11, 2001 the TV news clearly showed the evil and sadistic hearts of multitudes of Muslims in many Islamic countries as they expressed great joy over the deaths of the innocents that died on that infamous day. It was reminiscent of the passage in the Book of Revelation that will be fulfilled during the Tribulation when the Antichrist will murder God's to prophets that will preach the deity, death and resurrection of Christ. At that future time the Bible says this of them:

"And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth." (Revelation 11:7-10)

The first reaction of the natural man is contempt for such wickedness. However, the remnant of Christian principles and morality of the American people restrained us from our sinful instincts. In the wake of the events of that day one would think that there would be a great desire for revenge.

However, there was only one revenge killing for the 9/11 attacks. This was by a white supremacist with a felony criminal record by the name of Mark Anthony Stroman. Stroman gunned down a Muslim convenience store owner four days after the 9/11 attacks. He went on to shoot two other non Muslim people in the weeks that followed. Thankfully, an American jury sentenced Mark Stroman to death. The same cannot be said of many Muslim terrorists who not only have sanctuary in Muslim countries, but are often treated as heroes by followers of the religion of peace.

One revenge killing of a Muslim since 9/11 as opposed to 78 additional murders of innocents in 29 attacks by Islamic extremists in America after 9/11. From 1972 to 2000 there were 27 attacks on American soil resulting is 261 deaths.

Our politically correct leaders and the media joined Muslim leaders in trying make the general public believe that there is a difference between “true” Muslims and those who committed these terrible crimes. But in fact the Qur'an its self teaches the following:

Qur'an, Sura 48:29: "Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard (ruthless) against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves."

Qur'an, Sura 9:123: "O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty."

Qur'an, Sura 8:12: "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them."

Qur'an, Sura 8:55: "Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve."

Qur'an, Sura 9:30: "And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah ... Allah (Himself) fights against them. How perverse are they!"

Qur'an, Sura 5:33: "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement."

CONCLUSION:

"Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace." (Isaiah 59:7-8)
