Bible in the Sky

THE STARS & THE MAZZAROTH

Introduction:

Genesis 1:1, 14-18: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. ... 14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good."

Psalm 19:1-6: "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. 6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof."

“The following is the account of Tammuz [who was supposedly the reincarnation of Nimrod], given by the celebrated Maimonides, deeply read in all the learning of the Chaldeans: ‘When the false prophet named Thammuz preached to a certain king [believed to be Noah’s son, Shem] that he should worship the seven stars and the twelve signs of the Zodiac, that king ordered him to be put to a terrible death …’” [1] Shem had come from the other side of the Great Flood with his father and six other family members. He knew the true meaning of the seven stars, and the Zodiac. Shem knew they were not to be worshiped!

In the Bible the Mazzaroth (Job 38:32) is the 12 signs of the Zodiac and their 36 associated constellations, and the name of "the seven stars" in the Bible is the Pleiades (Job 9:9, 38:31).

Origin of The Zodiac:

“A hundred years ago, a number of French skeptics, gathered together a collection of all the numerous ancient mythologies of various peoples of the world, and demonstrated that these showed a remarkable and astounding correspondence to the teachings concerning Christ and his salvation. They said that since these mythologies - which often involve interpretations of the constellations of the zodiac - very clearly long antedate the [Bible] and the coming of Christ into the world, it was obvious to them Christianity was … borrow[ed] from pagan mythology, dressed up in Hebrew dress and pawned off on a credulous world. … [However] none of the skeptics were able to tell whence came these ancient mythologies, and particularly this understanding of the zodiac - constellations of the sky. Where did these signs come from? These scholars discovered that their antiquity cannot be ascertained; no matter how far back we go, they are always still there! ... According to Arabic tradition, the signs came from Seth; and [Enos]. This tradition is interesting since it links these signs to the grandson of Adam and says that [Enos] and his father Seth (both men of faith) were the founders of this ancient understanding of the heavens. … Therefore, from the very beginning, God has given a story of salvation from which have come most of the ancient mythologies and ancient traditions. The signs [of the zodiac] are describing the salvation that would be wrought by Christ, and was given by God to Adam in the Garden of Eden.” [2] “The Hebrews, the Aztecs, the Babylonians, the Norsemen, the Egyptians, [the Romans, the Hindus, the Persians], and the Chinese all recognize the same constellation (with essentially the same meanings) and the same names of the stars (also with the same meanings). Underneath the pile of myth, corruption, and idolatry emerges the same basic pattern. … [The] truth is [that] … the heathen religions are a perversion of the original, which came from God in a pure form.” [3]

In the very first chapter of the Bible “God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for sings, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.” (Genesis 1:14-15)

“The word Mazzaroth [Job 38:32] … means The Separated, The Divided, or The Appointed, and it refers to the allotted spaces given to the twelve signs in the circle of the zodiac.” [4] Not only did God give the twelve Mazzaroth signs, but He also named them along with all the stars individually (Psalm 147:4; Isaiah 40:26). The names that God assigned them gave the clear Gospel message in the sky. Here are the names and meanings of some of the brightest stars, and of the twelve signs that mark the divisions of the year:

Biblical Astronomy in The Great Pyramid:

Astronomy was originally the science of interpreting God’s story (His story) in the heavenly bodies (sun, moon, planets, comets stars, and other bodies). In the beginning God created a perfect universe and earth. Adam was perfect physically and mentally. His brain was far more superior to the most advanced supercomputer. The Bible says: “God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven … and let them be for signs …” (Genesis 1:14). The Lord having created all the heavenly bodies also set them in motion and gave them their names for prophetic revelation (Job 38:31-33; Psalm 8:3-4, 19:1-6, 119:89, 147:4; Isaiah 40:26). Adam was in perfect fellowship with God before his fall into sin, and it stands to reason that it was when they were in full communion that God taught Adam the names and locations of all the heavenly bodies. After Adam's fall he then taught his sons, and the true science of astronomy was born. The knowledge was passed from Adam to Seth to Enos, and so on to Noah and his sons. The Jewish historian, Joesphus (37-100 A.D.), wrote that “'Seth, when he was brought up, and came of those years which he could discern what was good, became a virtuous man; and … did leave children behind who imitated his virtues. ... They also were the inventors of the particular sort of wisdom which is concerned with the heavenly bodies, and their order. And that their inventions might not be lost before they were sufficiently known, upon Adam’s prediction that the world was to be destroyed ..., they made [a pillar] … of stone: They inscribed their discoveries on [it that] ... the pillar of stone might remain, and exhibit those discoveries to mankind ... Now this remains in the land of Siriad to this day.’ In the time of Josephus the land of Siriad was part of Egypt in which the false religion of Sirius was practiced, and there can be little doubt that Josephus was referring to the Great Pyramid, since it reflects astronomical knowledge beyond even that of today.” [5] “The Great Pyramid of Cheops … [is likely] the oldest building on Earth. In terms of its sheer mass, it may be the largest single building in the world. ... [It is] also the most perfect building on the planet.” [6] It has been said that “no construction company in the world today could erect such a building.” [7]

“The Great pyramid ... embodies in its construction such a wonderful knowledge of mathematics, astronomy, and Scriptural information as to clearly show that the architect and builder was especially endowed with Divine wisdom.” [8] “[M]ost historians and archaeologists believe that it was built during the reign of the Egyptian king Cheops …’ [but] no one really knows just who Cheops was and when he lived.” [9] But we can be assured that it was one of Adam’s offspring, perhaps Methuselah (Genesis 5:21-27), the son of Enoch (Genesis 5:18-24; Hebrews 11:5; Jude 14-15), who had been instructed by them concerning God’s message in the sky. The construction period of the Egyptian pyramids, of which Cheops is the oldest, has been estimated to have been from 2614 - 2502 B.C. [10] This was more than 150 years before the generally accepted date of the Great Flood in about 2350 B.C. and their construction may be much earlier than that. There are pyramids and other ancient megalithic structures all over the world that are similar mathematically and astronomically to Cheops, but never do they match it in complexity.

“The evidence of archaeology, folklore, and tradition - together with the astronomical alignments and dating - has established the Eastern origin of the builders of Stonehenge. The evidence has shown that the two astronomical ideas of the British megalithic builders had been formulated in ancient Egypt … [T]he Stonehenge Circle is a constructional expression of the geometrical relations holding between the ancient Egyptian square and the linear systems of measure … [T]he outer ring of stones is the exact area of an important Egyptian unit of measure.” [11]

The Corruption of Astronomy Into Astrology:

“All over Eurasia and America, astronomers and perhistorians have identified stone constructions as observatories and megalithic calendars. If this is true, it is almost certain that astronomy [or astrology] was used within the frame of religious and ceremonial interest.” [12] The fact is that all false religions originated with the satanic perversion of God’s astronomical message in the heavens. The true study of the stars was corrupted into false and occult astrology. This corruption seems to have begun even before the Flood because the Egyptian pyramids as well as Stonehenge ware completed before 2500 B.C., which was about 150 years before the Flood. All these ancient structures, both pre-flood and post-flood including the Tower of Babel, with the one exception of the Great Pyramid, are corruptions of God’s message in the stars. The Great Pyramid is extremely impressive in the technical aspects of its construction, in its shear size, in that it is not permeated with idolatry, as the other pyramids are

The single most impressive fact about the Great Pyramid is that in the upper chamber, the King’s Chamber, there is the single piece of furniture in all the Pyramid: a broken, lidless, and empty stone coffin. Its message is clear: the saved pre-flood sons of Adam had prior knowledge of the resurrection of “the seed of the women,” who was “Toliman” (Isaiah 44:6: “… I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God", cf. Revelation 1:8, 22:13). Belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of God incarnate on an individual and personal basis for salvation from sin and hell is the only saving faith there has ever been. The demonic corruption of the fact of the resurrection of Christ into reincarnation and other false hopes of an afterlife by way of astrology is the foundation of all false religion!!! The Word of God says: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10). From the prehistoric demonic religion of astrology have come all the false religions of reincarnation: Hinduism (2500 B.C.), Zoroastrianism (1500 B.C.), Taoism (500 B.C.), the New Age Movement and others.

The Word of God Condemns Astrology:

“The first Bible reference to astrology is … the story of the building of the tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9). Archaeologists have now discovered that this structure and similar towers were … erected to survey the heavens. Some [of these towers] have been unearthed to give evidence of zodiac signs actually inscribed on the circumference at the top. The Bible says the purpose of the tower of Babel was to ‘reach unto heaven.’ This Biblical metaphor … [leaves] little doubt [that] its … purpose was to survey the stars for astrological purposes.” [13] Because the builders of the tower of Babel sought spiritual and prophetic knowledge through unauthorized demonic means, God confounded their language, “and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.” (Genesis 11:9)

Astrology is merely a form of occult fortune telling. The Word of God commands: “There shall not be found among you any one … that uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD ...” (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) “Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of the heaven, for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain ... Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.” (Jeremiah 10:2, 3, 11; cf. 1 Corinthians 8:5-6)

Even if an astrologer, like Nostradamus (1503-1566), gives seemingly accurate prophecies we are not to believe them, because astrology is forbidden by God. Astrology can not help or save anyone. God mockingly says to those who use it: “Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame ...” (Isaiah 47:14)

Accurate predictions are made about 6% of the time using astrology. “Many people say that astrology is humbug. But even humbug can have suggestive power. This suggestive power influences the behavior and decisions of superstitious people to their disadvantage. ... [It] has been responsible for a number of suicides and murders.” [14]

At the time of the building of the tower of Babel, and afterwards astrology was not merely hit and miss fortune telling; in ancient times it included devil worship. When good king Josiah of Judah came to the throne “he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD,” and when he “found the Book of the Law in the House of the LORD” and “heard the words of the Book” he knew that his kingdom was sinning greatly by worshiping “other gods” (2 Kings 22:1, 2, 8, 11, 17). King Josiah thus decided to destroy idolatry and demon worship form Judah. “And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn ... incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to the host of heaven.” (2 Kings 23:5) King Josiah put an end to the worship of the false gods (devils) called: Baal, Molech, Ashtoreth, Chemosh, Milcom, and others (2 Kings 23:4-13). “Moreover, the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the Law ... And like unto him was there no king ... that turned to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might ...” (2 Kings 23:24-25) Thus Josiah, because he turned to Christ and the Word of God, was able to see the evil of astrology and put it, and the worship of false gods down. Should you do any less? Josiah knew from “the Book of the Law” that he was to look to Christ, and not to “the host of heaven,” the sun, moon, and stars for guidance (Deuteronomy 4:14-19, 13:1-5, 17:2-7, 18:9-15). God forbids it!
