Koran vs God's Word

The Koran & Islam vs. The Christ of the Bible
A letter to a Sunni Muslim

Greetings,

Thank you for your post to my wall.

No, it is not my purpose to offend, and I am not portraying hate as you stated. However, as a general rule God's Truth does offend, not only Muslims, but all people. My purpose is to get people to think and to receive the Truth of God's holy Word.

I have visited Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Israel, and yes I have studied the Koran. Therefore, according to your standards, I am able to have an opinion on this issue.

More importantly, after knowing Christ as my Saviour for over 30, and for over 20 years as a preacher of "the Gospel of Jesus Christ" (the death, burial and resurrection of the sinless Son of God for our sins), not Catholicism, or other false forms of Christianity, I am well equipped to speak on this subject.

Concerning peace, I serve "the Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6). It is my prayer for you that Jesus Christ, "the Lord of peace Himself give you peace" (2 Thessalonians 3:16). Without Him there is no real and lasting peace for anyone.

The Lord Jesus loves all people, but He hates sin, my friend! Jesus' death on the cross is the only "propitiation" or appeasement for sin, and it was sufficient to save all people. God's holy Word says:

"... And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And He is the propitiation for our [believers] sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world [unbelievers]." (1 John 2:1-2)

Even though it is sufficient to save all, this salvation must be freely received by faith by each individual. God's Word says:

"For by GRACE are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

"Being justified freely by His GRACE through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through FAITH in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: that He might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus." (Romans 3:25-26)

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by THE WORD OF GOD, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURETH FOR EVER. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." (1 Peter 1:23-25)

"So then FAITH cometh by hearing, and hearing by THE WORD OF GOD." (Romans 10:17)

"For ever, O LORD, Thy WORD is settled in heaven." (Psalm 119:89)

"For there are three that bear RECORD in heaven, the Father, the Word [Christ], and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. ... If we receive the witness of men, the WITNESS of God is greater: for this is the WITNESS of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the WITNESS in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the RECORD that God gave of his Son. And this is the RECORD, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." (1 John 5:7, 9-12)

I watched the news after 9/11 of Muslims all over the world joyously cheering that many had been murdered in NY. It is not I that spreads hate. The greatest religious spreader of hatred of this age is the religion of Islam. Rejoicing over murder is evil, and this alone shows the darkness and evil in the hearts of Muslims. All those people that died that day were sinners, just as you and I and all people are. There is only one exception, one man that never sinned, the Lord Jesus Christ. He IS the sinless Son of God. Koranic and Muslim objections to this fact will never change this fact. God's holy Word says:

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, THE JUST FOR THE UNJUST, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit." (1 Peter 3:18)

"WHO DID NO SIN, neither was guile found in His mouth." (1 Peter 2:22)

"And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and IN HIM IS NO SIN." (1 John 3:5)

"For He [the Father] hath made Him [Jesus] to be sin for us, WHO KNEW NO SIN; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5:21)

"So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time WITHOUT SIN unto salvation." (Hebrews 9:28)

"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points TEMPTED LIKE AS WE ARE, YET WITHOUT SIN. ... For such an high priest became us, who is HOLY, HARMLESS, UNDEFILED, SEPARATE FROM SINNERS, and made higher than the heavens." (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26)

Jesus is without sin, holy and undefiled. He knew no sin and there was no sin in Him. Yes, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is the only just man who ever lived, and deceit was never in Him. He is the only one who is both willing and able to save fallen mankind!

My greatest desire is to proclaim God's Truth. You have most likely never studied the Word of God with an open mind and heart, because you have been brainwashed all your life. Allow me to advise you to obey the Word of God and trust Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.

My Lord Jesus Christ is God, He did come to die, He did raise from the dead, and He is coming again to judge and punish ALL Christ rejectors! He can forgive all sin, but one. That is rejecting Him, because He is the only way of salvation.

Jesus is God and He is willing and able to forgive sin:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the LIGHT of men. ... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of THE ONLY BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER,) full of grace and truth. ... He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of THE ONLY BEGOTTEN OF GOD. And this is the condemnation, that LIGHT is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than LIGHT, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth THE LIGHT, neither cometh to THE LIGHT, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to THE LIGHT, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." (John 1:1-4, 14, 3:18-21)

"God, ... hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; who being THE BRIGHTNESS OF HIS GLORY, AND THE EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the Word of his power, when He had BY HIMSELF PURGED OUR SINS, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high." (Hebrews 1:1-3)

"Christ Jesus..., being IN THE FORM OF GOD, thought it not robbery to be EQUAL WITH GOD: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, HE HUMBLED HIMSELF, AND BECAME OBEDIENT UNTO DEATH, EVEN THE DEATH OF THE CROSS." (Philippians 2:5-8)

"For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when He [Christ] cometh into the world, He saith, Sacrifice and offering Thou wouldest not, but a body hast Thou prepared Me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin Thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of Me,) to do Thy will, O God. Above when He said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin Thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said He, Lo, I come to do Thy will, O God. He taketh away the First [Testament], that he may establish the Second. By the which will WE ARE SANCTIFIED THROUGH THE OFFERING OF THE BODY OF JESUS CHRIST ONCE FOR ALL." (Hebrews 10:4-10)

"... Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." (John 1:29)

"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by Him do believe in God, that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God." (1 Peter 1:18-21)

"... God our Saviour ... will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the Truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." (1 Timothy 2:3-6)

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us--ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to REPENTANCE." (2 Peter 3:9)

"Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and RECEIVE with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls." (James 1:21)

"He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:11-13)

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John 3:36)

"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. ... I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." (Revelation 1:8, 18) "And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him." (Luke 12:4-5)

I hope this is a help to you. I stand ready to answer any questions you might have.

And please remember this: Jesus Christ is not a religion. The Lord is rather a person, the Almighty.

May God open your eyes and ears is my prayer,
J. Mitchell
