PRESIDENTIAL ELIGIBILITY (Article II, Section 1):

Obama's Birth Certificate Irrelevant; Constitution requires both Parents to be US Citizens, RWN, February 13, 2011

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the Constitution states: "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President"

The definition of "natural born Citizen" as understood by the framers of the Constitution is: "The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens." (Emer de Vattel, The Law of Nations and Principles of Natural Law, Vol. 1, Chap. 19, Sec. 212) Not only must one be born in the USA, but both parents must be citizens of the USA. This is an attempt to prevent conflict of interest (dual loyalties).
