The Caldwells' explored deep into the Arabian Peninsula where the Bible says Mount Sinai is located during an 8 year period. They painstakingly documented their findings.
Galatians 4:22-26:
"Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all."
Arabia is the birth place of the sons of Ishmael from whom came the false religion of Islam which places people under bondage. Saudi Arabia where the true Mount Sinai is located is one of the most restrictive countries in the world. The Biblical type is perfect.
Mount Sinai in Arabia answers to the Heavenly Jerusalem above which is free.
Mount Sinai in Arabia is a type of slavery, while Mount Moriah in Jerusalem is a type of salvation and heaven (Genesis 22:2, 2 Chronicles 3:1). In the phrase, "Mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem" we find the word "answereth" which means to "stand in a row with" or to "be parallel with." It is very interesting that Jerusalem is directly north of Sinai!
